There is range of support available for people who have limited or no ability to read or speak English to help them participate in the survey.
You can complete the survey independently by following the instructions provided with your survey materials or by calling the Translating and Interpreting Services (TIS National) for help in your language.
Survey forms will be delivered to your nominated Australian address by 25 September 2017.
The package containing your survey materials will include a Reply Paid envelope and instructions on how to complete the form. Please return the completed form straight away.
Completed forms must to be received by the ABS by 6pm on 7 November 2017.
You can also respond to the survey with the help of someone who speaks your language. Your survey materials include instructions in 15 languages on how to contact the Translating and Interpreting Services (TIS National).
Help in your language can be arranged by calling TIS National on 131 450 (within Australia) or +613 9268 8332 (outside Australia).
You can also ask a trusted person (a family member or friend) to help you to complete your survey, or to complete the survey on your behalf.
